Volunteer Opportunities
Please read through these following volunteer opportunities. Then fill out the appropriate volunteer form and send it to WRC. If you have an interest or skill not listed below, but which you feel may benefit the WRC, please let us know.
PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application and go through a screening process.
Whichever volunteer activity you choose, please know that your time and efforts are much appreciated and will help us further our services to the families of this community seeking safer, happier and healthier lives.

Advocacy
Volunteer advocates are essential to the safety and support of our clients. These on-call volunteers provide 24 hour crisis services via cell phones. Advocates must participate in 45 hours of specialized training (offered at least once per year) prior to volunteering.
Summer Gardening at the WRC
The WRC is looking for help maintaining the flower beds at the Center.
Special Event Committees and Fundraisers
Help ogranize and plan the Gala, Tour of Gardens, Book Sale, or other WRC Special Events.
WRC Board of Directors
The WRC Board of Directors is a very active group of volunteers. Board members are expected to be a financially supportive member, attend all board and committee meetings, training sessions, and special meetings related to Board work. Board members are expected to believe and follow the agency’s mission, goals, and objectives, and make decisions on issues, policies, and goals for the agency.
